The Healing Muse

Updated: Sep 22

I was updating the "Healing Philosophy" part of my home page today, and as I was writing a line from a poem I wrote 8 years ago came to mind . . .

"Your own love will heal the wound in yourself you're afraid to feel."

This one line still remains, to this day, to be one of the most healing bits of wisdom to ever come thru me.

.

The poem is called "Healing Muse". I wrote it during a very poetic time in my life in 2013. I was living in a real life gingerbread house in an enchanted garden on the edge of a forest on an island in the Puget Sound! There's a post about that experience here on this blog if you want to see and read a little bit about that phase of my life. It was a beautiful place to write and channel the muse!!

.

I realized I never shared that poem on this blog, so I decided to find an original copy and post it.

.

The poem is quite whimsical, as were many poems that came thru me that year. It doesn't resonate in the same way now, as we are always evolving and moving thru different seasons of being. But, it really woke me up at the time. Set me on a clear course of conscious compassion, personally and professionally. Perhaps it can help someone else now.

Here's the full poem:

Sigh!!

.

I really do love it when Spirit drops truth darts disguised as poetry!

.

Like this:

"Love yourself when your buttons are pushed!"

.

There's a tendency to look outside ourselves in irritation when we get triggered, but my philosophy, echoed in this poem, is to look within.

.

.

It's about to be a Pisces full moon tomorrow, and Pisces is an especially creative, imaginative, and muse-full energy. It's no surprise that I'm thinking about/feeling poetry today (the moon has already moved into Pisces as I write this). Perhaps a new poem could come thru tonight... But if not, I'm grateful to be reminded of the little bits of magic in these words that are already here.

.

Hope they inspire you, too!! ✨ xo!! ♡
