Our Vision

Overview of the Journey Ahead ...

The retreat location is Spirit of the Heavens - Angel Valley Retreat Center just outside of Sedona, AZ. I love this property and have been there at least four times myself. The retreat will feature meditation/meditation instruction prominently and will also include Kundalini yoga, energy work, art therapy/mandala creation, astrology, some integrative Ayurvedic principles, and ceremonial elements.

The backbone of the program is meditation alternated with teaching, exercises, and experiences intended to help participants connect with each of their chakras, working through blocks (mental, spiritual, and emotional) at each level. These sessions will incorporate EcoTherapy principles and will occur outdoors in little mini vortex temples around the retreat property.

There will be some holistic health and astrology segments during the program, intended to guide participants towards deeper personal healing and balance.

In this retreat we will experience

Daily Meditation

A meditation practice called "Rounding" derived from the principles of Transcendental Meditation will be facilitated by Tom. Rounding consists of "rounds" of yoga asanas + meditation + pranayama (breathwork). Practicing in this way significantly deepens the experience of meditation and will make a lasting impact on participants experience and ease of meditation moving forward (ie, meditations at home will be impacted).

Journey Through the Chakras

There will be education and a sort of conscious "dreamwork" on each of the chakras. This healing journey through your energetic, emotional, physical, and spiritual body (or bodies) will include holistic tips (including herbal remedies, nutrition, spiritual perspectives, and behavioral practices), as well as a guided meditation and ritual to support healing at each level.

Daily Yoga

Kundalini and/or Vinyasa yoga sessions will be facilitated daily by Tom or Kayse. Some yogic philosophy will be woven into Kayse's chakra healing sessions.

Time in Nature

There are multiple hikes, sacred spots, and mini-vortexes right on the property. There is also a beautiful swimming hole and a small running river on the property.

Connection

This retreat is meant to be a time dedicated to reconnecting to yourself and perhaps your sense of purpose and belonging on the planet. Every participant will be a spiritual soul with a similar intention. A wonderful sense of connection and co-creation is possible.

The Healing Power of Art

At the end of the experience we will create mandalas to honor our journey and express or symbolize some of the insights gained or healing steps taken during the experience.

4 nights double accommodations (single room supplement available in limited quantities for $450)
3 meals per day x 3 days, as well as dinner and breakfast on first and last days, respectively

Not included: plane flights, ground transportation to/from airport (shuttle info available on request), extra nights (contact Spirit of the Heavens), and optional add-on sessions (available in limited quantities: massage with local providers, astrology/holistic psychiatry/Ayurveda with Kayse, coaching with Tom.

We are currently gathering interest for this super unique offering. We initially hoped to host the event in 2023, but there were changes in our schedules and in the administration at the retreat center. Thus, we are going to build community and momentum around the idea for now and plan to host in 2024.
